This summer, the 2-7 of July, there will be a big, first class sailing cup, Stena Match Cup Sweden in Marstrand that I recommend if you’re a sailing enthusiast. For one week the picturesque Swedish island is filled with sailing enthusiasts and ordinary tourists.
Stena Match Cup Sweden has World championship status, as one of the stages of the WC-series World Match Racing Tour as well as hosting other championships, so it is an event worth visiting.
Even if you are not an enthusiast, Marstrand being a seaside resort with both a fort and a lighthouse, is a very pleasant and highly popular summer destination for anyone. It’s only around 40 minutes from the bigger city of Gothenburg which you can combine in your visit.
The nightlife use to be really awesome during summer!
