In our trip to Provence, Southern of France, our excellent hostess Claudie took us to one of Var region’s top attractions, the wonderful French medieval village with a 15th century castle: Le Castellet.

The 2 gates in the ramparts are listed in the Additional Inventory of Historic Monuments. We were all trying to take in ALL OF IT, wandering around being amazed over this fantastic village.

If you don’t want to see the slideshow, you can see an overview over the photos at Flickr Lifecruiser Le Castellet photos.

Hint: you may find some wellknown bloggers in those photos… *giggles*

Looking down at the vineyards also did make you wanna come back to the yearly Bandol Wine Festival every first Sunday in December… *dreaming away*

I so much remember that day from our blog meeting at Claudie and Pierre. It was such a love and charming place and you’ve capture the details and the atmosphere so well – the slide show was great!

I still remember those delicious crepes :-)

Thanks for the walk in Le castellet! A flash back to our nice blog gathering in august. We had such great time. I certainly go back there in december during christmas holiday to eat another pancake but this time in front of the cheminey! I miss you all. We had a such hard time those days. Pierre and me we love you all and you are in our mind.

The village is lovely; I also like the local wine: “Appellation Bandol”, did you have a taste?
